Tickets for the super rugby final between the Chiefs and the Sharks have been sold out three days before the big match.

Hundreds of Chiefs fans queued up to buy tickets since 2am today and braved cold conditions.

By 7.30 this morning a queue stretching at least 300 metres could be seen outside Waikato Stadium with fans eager to snap up seats for the match.

After 20 minutes 1500 tickets had been sold and after 10am it was all sold out.

The Chiefs will host the Sharks at 7:35pm Saturday.
