Quade Cooper will be given the chance to slay some of his demons in New Zealand when he returns to the Wallabies starting side against the All Blacks at Eden Park on Saturday night.

It is understood Cooper will replace Bernard Foley in the starting side after the Waratahs playmaker produced an indifferent showing in Sydney last weekend.

Cooper missed out on making that squad altogether, but Wallaby coach Michael Cheika has shown faith in the former Queensland Reds man as he continues to search for the best nine‑10 combination.

Matt Toomua was superb coming on late in the match at number 10, and his ability to close out matches means he will likely be given a similar role at Eden Park, where the Wallabies have not won since 1986.

Nic White is also expected to start at halfback after the indifferent performance by Nick Phipps in Sydney.

The All Blacks will host the Wallabies at 7.35pm Saturday.
