According to the Methodist Church Vice President and Suva Town Mayor, Ratu Peni Volavola the issue of Sunday ban needs to be re considered.
Volavola said that it is an issue that needs to be considered by all municipalities and it should be looked at through wide consultations around the country.
Meanwhile, the Local Government Association President and Nasinu Mayor, Rajeshwar Kumar said the call for Sunday ban is uncalled for as our country will move backwards if this is imposed.
The Association is expected to meet on 11th of next month and they will only discuss this issue in their meeting once a proposal is received.
Methodist Church of Fiji Assistant General secretary Rev Tuikilakila Waqairatu earlier said that the church will stand by the statement to have a Sunday Ban in place.
