The Interim Minister for Education Netani Sukunaivalu has been allowed to enter New Zealand to attend the Regional Education Ministerial conference this morning.

Acting High Commissioner, Joana Kempers told Village News that
Sukanaivalu's situation was regarded as an exceptional case as the forum is a regional meet, thus Sukunaivalu was allowed to travel and enter New Zealand.

However, Kempers stresses that this does not mean that the travel sanctions against members of Fiji's interim government has been relaxed as this was an exceptional case.
