Fiji Bati rep Waisale Suka is one of the leading contenders to be considered for the Digicel Fiji Sevens team to defend the Melrose Cup in Dubai.
Suka who can play in both the forwards and backline was in impressive form during the Marist Sevens and Coach Iliesa Tanivula is eyeing him to be one of the options to back Jone Daunivucu in the playmaker role.
After yesterday's fitness test at the Vodafone Arena, High Performance Unit manager Dan Lobendhan was impressed with Suka's results but is confident he can lift his fitness level.
Lobendhan also confirmed that overseas based rep Neumi Nanuku and Jone Daunivucu who will join the team tomorrow will boost the side's preparation for Dubai.
Yesterday, the Iliesa Tanivula training squad members went through an hour long training session at the famous Sigatoka Sand Dunes.
The final 12 member team to Dubai will be named at 2pm tomorrow at the Colonial Bank in Sigatoka.
