In a bid to attract suitable candidates for the vacant post of Supervisor of Elections, the Australian and New Zealand High Commissions in Fiji are expected to ensure that the salary package being offered is also attractive to its citizens.
Constitutional Officers Commission Chairman Rishi Ram has revealed to Village News all the arrangements have been made for the post to be advertised in Australia and New Zealand.
Ram said it is important to ensure that the remuneration package is sufficient to attract suitable candidates.
It was confirmed earlier that the Constitutional Officers Commission was also in contact with the Australian Electrol Commission as the search for a supervisor of elections continues.
Australian High Commissioner to Fiji James Batly is yet to comment on the matter.
