The Sugar industry stakeholders are not deterred by threats from the European Union to withdraw funding to the industry.
Newly assigned Interim Minister for Sugar Joketani Cokanasiga told Fijivillage news that he met with the industry stakeholders last Friday to get an update on the sugar industry and inform them of the situation.
Cokanasiga revealed that the FSC has reached an agreement to ship all its sugar to a company in the UK and they are now seeking assistance from other countries to help the industry in the restructure programme.
