The Flying Fijian, Manu Samoa and Ikale Tahi Tonga teams have completed successful European tours which bodes well for their hopes going into the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Fiji though claimed the result of the Island nations, with a 16-16 draw against Wales in Cardiff.

Although they did not display as complete rugby as the Samoans, showing deficiencies up front from their scrum and work at the breakdown, they showed their usual flair on attack and an impressive structure defensively, but the powerful France and Italian scrums took their toll on the Fijian forwards.

Manu Samoa completed an impressive schedule despite losing all three tests.

They opened their campaign with a strong 20-10 loss to Ireland followed by the 26-13 loss to England, and in their final test match, it took an 80th minute penalty to give Scotland a narrow 19-16 win.

On the other hand Tonga, who defeated Italy A 16-9, played their part defeating a very strong French Barbarians team 28-27.

The invitational team had players from the French domestic teams, and contained no less than 13 international capped players in their starting XV, including former All Blacks Byron Kelleher and Chris Masoe.
