Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan is relishing the fact that Dubai is a happy hunting ground for him and he hopes that lady luck will again be on his side as the Fiji 7s team gets ready to defend their title at the Dubai 7s this weekend.

Ryan won the Dubai 7s title twice in a row when he was coach of the England 7s side in 2010 and 2011 and a memorable victory with Fiji last year.

Speaking to Fijivillage from the team camp in Abhu Dhabi, Ryan said tasting success in Dubai is all about getting the right preparation for the players.

The only survivors from the team that won the title last year are the hard-hitting Semi Kunatani, captain Osea Kolinisau and Apisai Domolailai.

The Dubai 7s kicks off this Friday with the Vodafone Fiji 7s team taking on France in their first pool match at 6.44pm.

They will later meet Brazil at 9.44pm.

Their last pool match is against Argentina at 1.52am Saturday.

The Cup quarter finals start at 8pm Saturday, the Cup semifinals are at 1.55am Sunday while the Cup final kicks off at 3.42am.
