A study is expected to be undertaken in the very near future to ascertain the stress levels and pressure endured by Air Traffic Controllers at Airports Fiji Limited.
Fiji Public Service Association General Secretary Rajeshwar Singh said they have raised serious concerns with the interim government on ways to help the Air Traffic Controllers deal with the stress levels of their work.
Singh said this is the reason why the Air Traffic Controllers should be entitled to extra sick leave to help the staff cope with the pressure levels.
Under the agreement signed between the Airports Fiji Limited and the FPSA and Air Traffic Management Association that the staffs pay is not to be deducted for sick leave exceeding 15 days.
