The Transport Ministry is aware that students from some schools in Suva have been collecting old bus tickets from bus stands and are advising their teachers they are being overcharged by bus drivers.
The matter came to light yesterday afternoon when an S Nair bus driver told Fijivillage that some students were collecting old tickets from the Suva bus stand.
Transport Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete has warned students to refrain from doing this as they will end up in lots of problem.
She added schools need to report such matters to them so an investigation can be carried out.
