Two secondary school students of Queen Victoria School were treated at the Korovou Hospital after the bus they were travelling in caught fire in Tailevu on Saturday afternoon.
Assistant police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed the incident saying that the bus was transporting students from the National Stadium in Suva to Tailevu when the engine caught fire.
According to Sokomuri, the students who sustained injuries had to break the window glass to jump out of the bus.
Land Transport Authority CEO Etuate Koroi said the bus fire is news to him and he will check with his officials later today.
