Most students in Ba had no option but to stay home and wait for help to arrive so they can go to school.
A student of Khalsa Collage, Pritam Singh said most of the students he knows went through a lot of difficulties during the early part of this year in getting back to school as they did not have bus fare, lunch, uniforms and stationary.
Singh added their theme for this year’s Tadra Kahani Show, "Convalesce through unity" is identical to the situation they went through when organizations came forward to help.
Meanwhile, the secondary schools participating in this year's Tadra Kahani include the defending champions, Rishikul Sanatan, Suva Grammar School, Ratu Kadavulevu School, Monfort Boys Town, Tavua District, Gau Secondary, Cuvu College, along with new comers Khalsa College, St Vincent, Sila Central, Tavua College, and Lomary Secondary.
Tadra Kahani will be held from the 19th to the 21st of next month at the Vodafone Arena.
