Some secondary school students who tried to enter into nightclubs were stopped by Police and the securities of the respective night clubs.

This has been confirmed by Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri who added that a team of police officers were visiting nightclubs to see that students were not allowed in.

He further added that some students who tried making their way inside were stopped and were told to show their ID cards.

Meanwhile Police had to move in and tell students to go home after thousands of school students were seen loitering in town at 1am.

There were more than 6,000 people in the capital city last night most of whom were school students.

Inspector Sokomuri said majority of them were in their sports uniform and they had to call around 150 recruits from the Police Academy to advise these students to go home.
