Students should not be sent home because of the non-payment of fees.
These are the words of Education Minister Filipe Bole who said the Ministry provides free tuition fee for all students from Class One to Form Seven however schools still charge certain fees, which may differ from one school to another.
Bole said while he understands that parents may be going through hard times, arrangements should be made with the school management on the payment of fees.
Bole said school managements are also requested to be realistic with their demands from parents in terms of school uniforms and boarding kits adding that they should work together with parents to ensure that education comes first.
