Students are reminded to respect their teachers and learn to be humble when corrected.
This is the call from the Minister of Education, Filipe Bole in light of the World Teacher's Day earlier this week.
Bole said students with attitude problems need to change as they are still very much dependent on their parents for their livelihood.
This follows a case of a Labasa student alleging that his teacher punched him however reports received from the school revealed the teacher used the boy's pen for marking exercise books, while students were asked to revise and prepare for exams.
The report said the teacher then returned the pen, he threw it back to the student but felt short, the student swore at the teacher.
When the teacher interrogated at the student, the student punched the teacher.
