A group of students of Suva Grammar School were recently caught smoking marijuana.

Principal Waisake Ravatu revealed this during the opening of the Drug Awareness Week at Suva Grammar School this morning.

Ravatu said the incident occurred at the school last week.

He says they have identified the students that were involved and they will be dealt with accordingly.

Ravatu said in his six years as Principal at the school, this is the first time he has come across a case like this.

According to Ravatu they are usually dealing with cases like smoking cigarettes and glue sniffing.

He said they have seen a decrease in these substance abuse cases as they are continuously talking to the students.
