More than fourty school students of Bucalevu Secondary School have lost their belongings and cash following a break-in at the hostel on Wednesday.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that a team of detectives are investigating the case.
The break-in occurred when the students were attending classes.
ASP Rawalai said this is not the first time such a break-in has taken place.
Police are following up some leads and arrests are expected to be made soon.
He has called on the School Management to hire security personnel to ensure that the students are not robbed again.
The School Principal is expected to comment later today.
