Any student caught and charged by police for unruly behavior and participating in school brawls should not expect any mercy from the authority.

Education Minister Filipe Bole made the comment following revelations from Police that they have visited school principals following two consecutive weeks of school brawls at the Suva Bus stand.

Bole said that school children should go straight home after school should not loiter around town.

He said that students should realise that once they are charged, the offence will be in their file and chances of getting employed or travelling overseas would be very slim as the student already have a bad record with the Police.

Bole also stressed that it is the responsibility of the parents to talk to their children and keep reminding them that once they get into the wrong side of the law, they will be officially charged by the Police and no one can interfere on their behalf.
