Over 600 students with special needs are trying their best to impress selectors at the Fiji National Paralympic Games underway at the National Sports Stadium.

Official Jone Robanakadavu said that this year's National Paralympics will be used as the selection ground for their contingent to the Arafua Games in Australia next year.

The athletes this morning took part in 50 metres, 75 metres and 100 metres and in shotput, javelin and long jump in their various disciplines such as the impaired vision category and hearing impaired category.

The two day meet, which has seen Team Samoa take part as well, will finish tomorrow afternoon.
