Police have interviewed and released more than 15 school students of Suva and Navua for allegedly buying the Fiji Junior Certificate Examination (FJCE) English, Maths and Basic Science papers before the external examination.

Nabua Police have confirmed that some students have admitted in their interview that after buying the papers they made copies and distributed it to their friends.

Police have also managed to recover the stolen and photocopied papers from the students who have been interviewed.

Some other students who bought the papers have been identified and will be questioned soon.

It is expected the files will then be forwarded to the DPP's office for assessment and confirmation whether any charges will be laid against the students.

Meanwhile, a former police constable who pleaded guilty to stealing and selling the Maths, Basic Science and English papers will be sentenced by the Suva Magistrates court next Monday.
