Students Caught Sniffing Glue
Committee Member and the Officer-In-Charge of the Drug Unit at the CID Headquarters, Inspector Sakeo Ganivatu told Fijivillage that 5 class two students were caught sniffing glue within their Suva school compound.
He says the students were then informed about the consequences of glue sniffing and their parents were informed.
Meanwhile, he has raised concern that some parents are using their young children to supply drugs to the buyers.
Ganivatu says that they are investigating a Labasa couple for allegedly using their son, who is in Kindergarden, to supply Marijuana to a buyer.
According to Inspector Ganivatu, upon receiving information, they checked the school bag of the student and found a parcel of marijuana. Upon questioning, the 5yr old boy told police that he was given the parcel by his parents to deliver it to a man.
However, when police questioned the parents they denied giving him any parcel.
