The FIT student who sustained serious injuries after getting hit by a Raiwaqa bus last week at Grantham Road, remains admitted at the CWM hospital.

Medical Superintendent Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete confirmed the girl had received serious lower body injuries however her condition has stabilized.

According to Waqainabete the girl will undergo an operation soon.

Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority is still conducting its investigation in relation to the accident and a full report is expected to be handed to Police by tomorrow.

Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita added they need to find out what caused the accident before any charges are expected to be laid.

The girl was walking on the footpath along Grantham road last Monday when the driver who is believed to have been speeding lost control, resulting in the bus hitting and dragging the girl for a few metres.

The bus driver was questioned and released by Police.
