A student of FIT has been rushed to hospital while passengers in a Raiwaqa Bus escaped serious injuries after the bus developed mechanical problems and failed to stop along Grantham road in the last hour.
According to an eyewitness, Maikeli Tamata, said that the driver was allegedly speeding and could not stop in time which caused the bus to veer off the road and hit a small hill.
Tamata adds that an FIT student who was walking on the footpath was injured and had been rushed to hospital.
Police are still at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.
