A class seven student of Nadi has been admitted to the Lautoka hospital after he sustained serious injury to his eye at his school on Thursday.

Amit Murti also went under an operation and is now recovering.

Murti's father Krishan Murti said his son got accidently hit by a pair of scissors when two of his friends were fighting amongst themselves.

Murti said the school head teacher ignored the seriousness of the injury and instead of taking him to hospital, kept him at school until the end in the afternoon.

Murti adds he has also lodged a Police complaint against the teachers of the school.
