A Form Three secondary school student in Suva has been admitted in serious condition at the CWM hospital when she was hit by a car at Fletcher Road yesterday afternoon.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Josaia Waicavu confirms the girl was crossing the road when she was hit by an oncoming car.
She received severe injuries and was taken to CWM hospital.
Police have questioned and released the driver.
Meanwhile, Police have taken the driver into custody whose car was involved in a fatal accident in Naria, Rakiraki early yesterday morning.
Divisional Traffic Officer Western, ASP Richard Raju said they are waiting for the post mortem report of the 23-yr-old deceased, after which charges are expected to be laid on the driver.
