A class 3 student of a Primary School in Lautoka has been transferred to the CWM hospital after she fell from desk while fixing charts on the wall.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Josaia Weicavu has confirmed the girl was asked by the class teacher to fix charts on the wall when the incident took place.
The girl slipped and fell to the floor sustaining serious head injuries.
The matter was reported to police yesterday.
Police are calling on the teachers to exercise precaution and to closely supervise students while assigning them duties.
