Police are searching for the body of a 24 year old tertiary student, who is believed to have drowned in Tailevu yesterday.

The student, who is from Tonia village in Tailevu was trying to cross a flooded river yesterday evening, when she was swept away by strong currents.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the villagers are helping Police Officers to locate her body.

Meanwhile, Police managed to locate the body of a 26yr old farmer of Rotuma who fell from a cliff into the sea yesterday.

The farmer was returning from his farm with a friend when he fell.

In a another separate incident Police found the body of a 45yr old man of Caubati, who has been missing since Thursday.

According to Inspector Sokomuri, Police officers found the body five kilometers inside the bush in Wainiabia, Serua yesterday.

No injuries have been found on the body and Police wait for the post mortem examination.
