A family in Daku Labasa is today mourning the loss of their young son who died as a result of a trailer of a tractor falling on him.
16-year-old Vinit Krishan Lal who was a form 5 student was on a tractor with his father yesterday afternoon when the incident occurred.
Lal's aunty Veenita Kumar told Fijivillage that the tractor was going up a hill when Vinit accidently fell off and the trailer fell on him.
Kumar said the family cannot believe what has happened in such a short span of time and Lal's mother is finding it very hard to accept her young son is gone forever.
Police have questioned the father in relation to the incident.
