A team of officers from the Navua Police Station are in Namosi to investigate an alleged rape of a Form 4 student.
Navua police have confirmed that the suspect is a Form 3 student and he will be taken into police custody after the victim's medical report is given to them.
The alleged incident took place this week when the victim and the suspect were returning home after school.
It is alleged that the Form 3 student dragged the girl into the bushes and raped her.
The matter was reported to police yesterday by the girl's parents.
