A class two student of Ba has been admitted in critical condition at the Lautoka hospital after he was hit by a car yesterday afternoon.
Divisional Traffic Officer Western, ASP Richard Raju confirms the student suddenly crossed the road in Tuvu, Ba and was hit by an oncoming car.
Raju said the student was crossing the road as their relatives had just arrived to pick him from the school and had parked their car on the opposite side of the road.
The student sustained serious injuries and is still admitted at the Lautoka hospital.
Police have interviewed and released the driver of the car.
