An 18 year old student appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court today charged with one count of causing death by dangerous driving.
Zahid Nabi of Namaka Nadi appeared before Magistrate Mohd Nazim Sahukhan however no plea was taken as prosecution asked the magistrate to defer the case adding it will be laying more charges on Nabi and is waiting for another deceased's post mortem report which was conducted today.
Nabi's lawyer Eroni Moapa applied for his bail and Nabi was released on strict bail conditions for $2000. He has been ordered by court to report to Namaka Police Station every Fridays and not to interfere with police witnesses.
The case has been adjourned till first of August.
