The Fiji Police Force has gone through a number of reforms this year and the focus will be the same next year in their aim to better the services provided by its officers.
Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni said their focus has been on organizational and structural changes which will continue next year.
Meanwhile, parents are being asked to take more notice of the people their children hang out with and be more interested in their children's lives.
This is after a teacher is alleged to have defiled a class eight student in his vehicle a number of times, as well as at the girl's residence, when the parents were away at work.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri on the matter.
Earlier this month, the girl reported the matter to the Head teacher of the school, who then informed the parents and the Education office.
