Kadavu experienced strong winds early this morning and is currently experiencing heavy rain.
Namuana villager Waisea Tokaiqali said they were woken up by strong winds at around 1am which continues.
He added the seas are rough and a lot of their crops have been damaged.
Meanwhile, the vice-chairman of the Kadavu Provincial Council Alikisadra Naisoro said a major landslide in Ravitaki has blocked off the roads and many people have resorted to travelling by fibre glass boats to get to Vunisea.
Naisoro said this is a risk to people's lives as the seas are very rough and attempts to get help from the PWD Department have been futile.
