A strong wind warning is now in force for the Fiji group while a severe flash flood warning remains in place even though flood waters have started to recede for the time being in several areas.

Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad warns that people should not get complacent even if waters start to recede at times.

He said there will be severe flooding of the rivers in Nadi, Ba, Lautoka, Sigatoka and Rewa due to continuous rain, the high tide and continuous heavy rain up in the mountains.
