With 16 days left for what could be described as the biggest Hong Kong 7s tournament in history, Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan is expected to form a strong team which could be similar to the team travelling to the Rio Olympics.

Upcoming players Kitione Taliga and Masivesi Dakuwaqa are fighting for an Olympic spot while overseas based players are also aiming to wear the Fiji jersey in Rio.

The national squad will start camping from today to prepare for the Hong Kong 7s.

Some of the players who are expected to be fit again include Viliame Mata, Apisai Domolailai and Alivereti Veitokani.

Other players who have been trying to make the side are Sevuloni Tawake, Waqa Robanakadavu, Livai Ikanikoda and Mitieli Nacagilevu.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 8th to the 10th of next month.

Fiji is the defending champion.

We are also leading the World Sevens Series standing with 106 points.
