Super rugby champion, Reds halfback Will Genia said that he had no intention of running 65 metres to score what turned out to be the match winning try in the Super Rugby final last night.

While the scores were level and with 13 minutes left on the clock, Genia made a break through the Crusaders and ran with the ball intending to kick it down field.

However instead of kicking the ball, Genia spotted a gap and went for it and ran 65 metres to score a sensational try which effectively won the match - as his try was the difference between the teams as the final score was 18-13.

He added that sticking to the game plan was the difference.
