The Stormers remained unbeaten and top of the South African Conference by defeating the Sharks 29‑13 in a feisty derby.

A score by Johnny Kotze and a penalty try against Springbok scrum‑half Cobus Reinach wrapped up a deserved win for the Stormers, their fourth of the season.

The Stormers outscored the Sharks by two tries to one in the contest and leaves the Sharks down in tenth place with one win from four matches.

In other Super Rugby match, the Blues Super Rugby drought continues after the Lion defeated them 13-10 at Albany to stay winless through the first four rounds of the competition.

After an uninspiring first half from both sides, the Blues took a 10‑3 lead into the halftime break courtesy of a try to captain Jerome Kaino.

The Lions caught up courtesy of Sampie Mastriet running over for a converted try, to go with an earlier penalty to claim the lead.

The Blues agonizingly missed the chance to level the scores when first‑five Ihaia West pushed his penalty shot at goal wide in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile, the NSW Waratahs have dined out on an embarrassing performance from the Queensland Reds, easing to a 23‑5 victory at Suncorp Stadium.

Wallabies five‑eighth Bernard Foley scored 18 points for the Waratahs, crossing for a converted try in the first half to go with three penalties, before winger Peter Betham iced the contest with less than 15 minutes to go.

The Reds did almost nothing right as the Waratahs surged to a 13‑0 lead at the break.

In another match the Bulls beat the Cheetahs 39-20.
