The Jaguares continued to have a strangle hold on possession in the second half but could not get past the Stormers defence.
A great solo effort by Cheslin Kolbe from the Stormers side who dodged and weaved his way through traffic put the Stormers in the lead 13-8 before half time.
In other matches, Fijian-born Seta Tamanivalu's side, Chiefs hammered Western Force 53-10, the Cruasaders won against the Waratahs 19-14 while Brumbies beat Cheetahs 25-18.
In today match the Reds will face the Waratahs at 5.05pm.
