The storm warning previously in force for Vatoa, Fulaga, Ogea and Ono-i-lau has been cancelled.

However, a gale warning remains in force for Vatoa and Ono-i-lau.

Vatoa and Ono-i-lau should expect damaging gale force winds with speeds of 75km per hour and momentary gusts up to 100km per hour.

The Nadi Weather Office says the rest of the Lau group, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Northern and Southern Viti Levu, Lomaiviti group, Kadavu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni should expect strong southwest to northwest winds with average speed of 45km per hour.

Tropical Cyclone Ula was located 170km west-southwest of Ono-i-lau or about 310km south-southwest of Kabara at 6am today.

The cyclone is moving southwest at about 16km/h.

On this track Cyclone Ula is expected to lie about 335km southwest of Ono-i-lau or about 495km south-southwest of Kabara at 6am tomorrow and continue moving away from the Fiji group.

The rest of Fiji should expect gusty winds and occasional rain.

All roads in the area open in the Northern, Western and Eastern division and are still accessible to all vehicles.

The situation in the Central Division, Western Division and Northern Division is reported to be normal with occasional rain.

The Nadi Weather Office has also advised mariners that it is still not safe to be out in the sea as strong wind warning is still in force for a number of areas.
