Store water residents urged
Water Authority of Fiji spokesperson Maika Nagalu said due to a power blackout at the Waila Treatment Plant last night, residents living along both sides of the Kings road between the Suva-Nausori corridor may face water cuts later today.
These areas include Tailevu South, Rewa Delta, Davuilevu, Nasinu areas like Tuirara, Tovata, Valelevu, Nadera and nearby areas.
According to Nagalu, their Deuba and Nayaqe treatment plants also faced power disruptions last night however this has been normalized but residents between Navua town and Galoa may face water cuts.
Meanwhile, Nagalu said power supply has been restored in Tavua and those residents facing water cuts will start receiving normal water supply shortly.
The Fiji Electricity Authority said that the power cut last night experienced in most parts of the Central Division was sudden however they have managed to restore power to isolated areas.
