Store water now
Water Supply Media Liaison Officer Maika Nagalu said you must store water as supply will be cut off again tonight.
Nagalu said most places will continue to have intermittent water cuts as they are rationing the supply of water from the Tamavua reservoir to the other areas which they have had to re-divert water to as a result of the burst pipe at the Laqere bridge.
He added this is also to ensure they do not place too much pressure on the pipes.
Nagalu said they are also planning to place water tanks at areas affected.
He said the Laqere pipe bridge that supported a 600mm diameter water main, and 450mm diameter sewer main collapsed yesterday disrupting the water supply of three of Suva's main service reservoirs, namely Nasinu, Toorak and Flagstaff.
Repairs on the burst pipe at the Laqere bridge will take 3-4 weeks and the Tamavua system is now supplementing the supply to affected areas supplied from the Waila system.
Meanwhile, frustration is mounting as thousands of people remain without water supply for the second day in the Suva-Nausori corridor and the greater Suva area.
