Store as much water as you can now and make all necessary arrangements for the worst case scenario as Tropical Cyclone Tomas moves closer to the Fiji group which is expected to interrupt water and power supply.
Works Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said people must store enough water to last more than two days as water could be cut off for a long period after the cyclone passes.
Waqainabete said motorists must also be mindful of the conditions while using the roads around the country.
The Fiji Electricity Authority CEO Hasmuk Patel said people must get candles and other lighting equipment prepared as gale force winds can bring down power lines once it starts affecting the group.
