Ecumenical Centre for Research, Education and Advocacy Director, Chantelle Khan said while people have aired their views on the military takeover this year, the one thing that everyone seems to agree on is the human rights abuses that are committed and that must stop.
Khan also said that the militarization of the state is not a good thing and added that the biggest mistake of the interim regime was the appointment of the Police Commissioner however she adds that the setting up of and the following of a roadmap towards elections is somewhat a glimmer of hope and a move forward towards democracy.
