The Interim Attorney General has called on the International Bar Association to stop treating Fiji like a tin pot country in the South Pacific and respect its sovereignty.

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said it is unprofessional for the IBA not to follow proper protocol when it wants to come to Fiji to examine the rule of law and then making statements that the interim government has threatened the association.

He also said that the IBA should stop speaking to a group of lawyers who are allegedly misinforming the International Bar Association.
