Stop HIV Program to be part of Coke Games
The Program in partnership with HIV Education Unit that is housed under NSAAC of the Ministry of Education in collaboration with other stakeholders, will deliver education and raise awareness on HIV/AIDS, STI and together with other health related issues to athletes, teachers, parents and the public who will be part of the two day event.
The Program will present its STOP HIV Champions who are former and current national representatives from respective different sporting backgrounds in Fiji supported by the Fiji STAHS (Fiji Students Standing Against HIV/AIDs) to take the lead role in educating the youths of Fiji on HIV/AIDS.
The program main message which is BE A LEADER, PROMOTE SPORT, and PREVENT HIV will be mainly targeted at participating athletes at the games, encouraging them to be leaders in their own sporting backgrounds and help in raising awareness in the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
STOP HIV program has recognized that Sports is the best practice that can be used to fully utilize the deliverance of education and prevent HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections among youth of Oceania.
