The Vice President of the Rewa Provincial Council Pita Tagicakiverata said they are concerned that the chairman of the Great Council Chiefs Taskforce Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo is pressuring the provincial councils to accept the new GCC promulgation.
Tagicakiverata was responding to the statement made by Nawalowalo this morning that those provincial councils who have opted to stay out of the GCC should also stop asking for assistance from the state.
Tagicakiverata said Nawalowalo should know his role before opening his mouth because that statement should come from the interim government.
The GCC review team is expected to make presentations to the Ba Provincial Council on Wednesday, Ra Provincial Council on Thursday and the Namosi Provincial Council on Friday.
So far Naitasiri and Rewa have rejected the new GCC criteria while Serua has accepted the new promulgation.
