Still no power in certain areas
Moti Chand claimed there are broken power poles and lines in his compound and FEA has not attended to it since the cyclone went away.
Chand added he has told his children not to go near the broken power lines as this could be fatal if FEA suddenly turns the power on.
He also claimed that they do not have water supply also and they have to fetch water from elsewhere two miles away from home.
Meanwhile, FEA CEO Hasmukh Patel said they are doing their best within their means and resources to restore power supply to all affected areas.
For Calia, Raiwaqa, Waiyanitu and Nakavu village power is expected to be normalized by Tuesday.
Power between Culaniku to Matanipusi is expected to normalize by Thursday.
He said FEA in the process of restoring power supply to these areas has to ensure that all the power lines and electrical equipments are thoroughly inspected and repaired.
He added this is to ensure the safety of the public and property.
