It has been confirmed that the 200 workers of the Fiji National Provident Fund decided to return to work after a decision was made by the Union Executives, without any agreement being reached on their grievances which saw them walk off their jobs last Thursday.
Acting Interim Minister for Labour Adi Laufitu Malani said it was a wise decision taken by the Bank and Fianance Sector Union.
Malani also confirms that there has been no agreement reached between the Union and the FNPF as she is awaiting a response from the FNPF Board Chairman Peceli Vocea.
Earlier today, Union General Secretary Pramod Rae claimed that solutions have been found but refused to comment further on their decision to return to work.
Meanwhile, FNPF Chairman Peceli Vocea is currently in a meeting and could not be reached for a comment.
