A team of Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department have been assigned to track down the men who tried to burn down former Military Officer Colonel Sakiusa Raivoce and Fiji Times Editor in Chief Netani Rika's homes with homemade bombs early Sunday morning.
However, Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita say they have no suspects at the moment.
One of the victims of the attacks Colonel Sakiusa Raivoce said that police presence has not been increased in their area since the attack.
Police Commissioner Commodore Easla Teleni could not be reached for a comment while questions on the attacks sent to Director Police Operations SSP Waisea Tabakau this morning remain unanswered.
Meanwhile, Interim Minister for Defence Ratu Epeli Ganilau says such cowardly acts will never be condoned and police will do all they can to bring those responsible to justice.
Unknown men threw the homemade bombs called a Molotov cocktail, which is a glass bottle containing petrol fuel, thickening agent such as sugar with a lit wick, at the homes of Raivoce and Rika early Sunday morning.
